Still considered one of the best outdoor summer soirees in Brooklyn, Wonway Posibul of Latin Soul Brothers links up with NYC-based event promotion team Rare Form to bring his famous Makossa sound from San Francisco to NYC to create a bicoastal vibe like none other. Since its birth in the backyard of Williamsburg boutique/gallery Fresthetic in 2010, the monthly cookouts have garnered a loyal following and experienced incredible growth, including the Makossa Los Angeles Cookout and a three-city tour in 2017 (Charlotte, Chicago, and Atlanta) sponsored by Miller Lite.

2017 is almost in the books. I came across a post on Instagram that described this year as a shopping cart to the ankles ... I don't think I could explain it any better myself. As turbulent of a year as it was for me personally, it was also one of growth and transition; first and foremost as a man but also as a photographer.
I took almost 5,000 images this year 😲 It wasn't easy to whittle it down but jump in and find out my ten favorite portraits I took in 2017, a few select street shots, and more!
